Eighty-six Democrats joined 194 Republicans and voted for the bill. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was the only member of House leadership of either party to vote against the war funding.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada was even more emphatic. "Senate Democrats will not stop our efforts to change the course of this war until either enough Republicans join with us to reject President Bush's failed policy or we get a new president," he said.
This tells you how divided the Democrats are in both Senate and Congress. I received an email from Senator John Edwards expresses his disappointment in Congress caving in to the Chimpster. But, Mr. Edwards has to keep in kind that some of the Democrats Senators didn't support the Feingold-Reid bill. Both Democratic Senators and Congress need to quit pointing fingers and one another and work as unison. So, both lawmakers from the Senate and Congress got to get their act together because their constituents in their states are watching them.

So there won't be a capture/kill of some leader in the Taliban/Al Qaida this week? I was looking forward to the one responsible for Katrina to be caught.
"I was looking forward to the one responsible for Katrina to be caught."
