"We are telling you to leave the region. This is for your benefit and the benefit of your nation," Ahmadinejad shouted to the crowd of thousands at a soccer stadium. "The nations of the region can no longer take you forcing yourself on them. The nations of the region know better how to create peace and security."
Good to see you back. Since you are frustrated about challenges logging onto blogger, why don't you make your comment under "other" and type Patriot Girl. That way we know who you are. I don't know why blogger is acting up. I missed your avatar.
Thanks for the article regarding the military. This is not Congress' fault. This has to do with the Gerbil having a much control over the military. It is a shame that he is taking away their freedoms yet want them to sacrfice their lives for the freedoms for the Iraqis. What I will say about Congress is that Congreess must not give into the demands of the Gerbil's blackmail. Folks, have to stop watching, pointing the finger, and criticize Congress but hold them accountable and notify them to do their job. That is why they are being paid for. I hear too many people complaining about Congress but not willing to pick up the phone and call. And you don't have to be in that person's state or district to call. Also, you suggest to the Oversight Committee through their website what hearings that you would like for them to hold. I had requested to the Oversight Committee to investigate the Missouri female soldier who died in Iraq that may have a coverup by the Army. This was done on line and spoke to a rep in Waxman's office several weeks ago.
But, more money is being allocated for Iraq which leaves little to nothing for issues in this country like farm aid!
Hi Biloximan - Thanks for the tip on the posting. I will try it.
RE: Congress
Sorry... that was supposed to apply to the "Poluters Get $$$" one (see below):
"The Office of Management and Budget wants to end loans for new power plants and limit loans for transmission projects in the most remote rural areas. But the powerful National Rural Electric Cooperative Association deployed 3,000 members on Capitol Hill last week to push Congress to keep the program intact, arguing that the loans for new coal plants are needed to keep electricity cheap and reliable in rural areas."
-This one caught my eye because we have one being built right along a main clear-water tributary, in a beautiful country area close by where I live. I can just imagine what it will all look like 5 years from now.
I know I am still being critical - but I write to Senators/Congresspeople often, complain regularly, and unfortunately never sympathize.
