“Between 100,000 and 300,000 barrels a day of Iraq’s declared oil production over the past four years is unaccounted for and could have been siphoned off through corruption or smuggling, according to a draft American government report. Using an average of $50 a barrel, the report said the discrepancy was valued at $5 million to $15 million daily.”
Is the Administration now going use this excuse for the next high rise cost of gas at the pump?

A bit of news passed along to me from a regular blogger, Chicago Naive. From Aljazeera.com:
Between 100,000 and 300,000 barrels a day of Iraq’s declared oil production have been reported missing over the past four years; it may have been siphoned off through corruption or smuggling, a draft U.S. government report concluded.

That is an awful lot of missing oil, too much, and why isn't someone investigating?
