“The Pentagon has notified more than 35,000 soldiers and Marines to be prepared to deploy to Iraq beginning this fall, a move that would allow commanders to maintain the ongoing buildup of troops through the end of the year if needed. Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said Tuesday the deployment orders, which have been signed by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, do not mean that the military has made a decision to keep the increased level of 20 brigades in Iraq through December.”
And this is what the nimrod President has to say:
President Bush has repeatedly argued that the United States needs to “eliminate terrorist threats abroad, so we do not have to face them here at home.”
And Richard Clarke hits home run with this comment:
Withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq doesn’t mean that violence will follow them to the United States. As former White House counterterrorism director Richard Clarke notes:
Of course, nothing about our being “over there” in any way prevents terrorists from coming here. Quite the opposite, the evidence is overwhelming that our presence provides motivation for people throughout the Arab world to become anti-American terrorists.

Some how this has to be stopped, enough of our brothers, cousins, friends, neighbors, etc. coming back in body bags.
And the request for 35,000 soldiers were requested in December. All mastermind by the Gerbil to press Congress for more money for Iraq for his personal agenda.
