Scooter Libby's filing on April 13, 2007

It's not that they don't plan to appeal "substantial issues of law" over his conviction on four felony counts to a higher authority, namely the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. It's just, lawyers wrote, that "defense counsel's review of the record leads us to conclude that the issues were adequately presented to the District Court." That leaves Libby with his June 5, 2007 sentencing date in place.
Guess they realized Walton meant business.

Less time tied up in court, good. Enough time wasted on Libby already.

Now I wonder does Libby think all this was worth it. Covering up for Cheney/Rove as he goes to jail. His children will watch their father go to jail and might come out a girl. What some people will do for loyalty. McCain allowed the party to attack his family and he was promised the White House after Bush. Now McCain get nothing. Libby should take note to other Republicans and save himself. Bush/Cheney/Rove could careless about Libby and will forget his name as he is sentenced.
