King George has spoken...

Tonight's press conference about the subpoena of Rove and Miers by the Judicial Committee:

“We will not go along with a partisan fishing expedition aimed at honorable public servants. The initial response by Democrats unfortunately shows some appear more interested in scoring political points than in learning the facts. It will be regrettable if they choose to head down the partisan road of issuing subpoenas and demanding show trials. And I have agreed to make key White House officials and documents available. I proposed a reasonable way to avoid an impasse, and I hope they don’t choose confrontation. I will oppose any attempts to subpoena White House officials.”

IMHO, it is time for Congress to invoke the 25th amendment (incompentent) for George W. Bush. In the Reagan era, upon assuming the role of White House Chief of Staff in 1987, Howard Baker was advised by his predecessor's staff to be prepared for a possible invocation of the 25th amendment due to Reagan's perceived laziness and ineptitude.

This is so formular. Nixon gave the same defense with his cover up of crimes. Let's hope the current Congress uses the same law to get to the truth. With Cheney and Rummy ex Nixon students makes since that the same problem and crimes would come back. Now as for the wacko Gerbil he's just showing how scared he really is. Gonzales already lied, this is about Rove/Meirs being able to lie and not be charged with the lies.

Fishing expedition was when they went after Bill Clinton, they fished until they got this naive intern. They could come up with great white whales on this fishing expedition, Rove, Cheney.....so on and so forth.

The judicial committee denied the Geril's request. The Judicial committee knew that the Gerbil would not allow Miers and Rove under oath especially Rove. He certainly didn't want Gonzo under oath since he lied under oath. The committee has something up their sleeves for the Gerbil. I hope they invoke the 25th amendment.
