WASHINGTON Nineteen news organizations are asking a federal judge to release audio recordings each day in the upcoming criminal trial of Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff.The Supreme Court releases audio recordings of arguments in major cases, and lower federal courts have "started to follow the Supreme Court's lead," lawyers for the news organizations said in filings this week in U.S. District Court.
The organizations are ABC, The Associated Press, Bloomberg News, CNN, CBS , Dow Jones, E.W. Scripps, the Hearst Corp., the Los Angeles Times, the McClatchey Co., NBC, National Public Radio, USA Today, the Washington Post, the American Society of Newspaper Editors, the Newspaper Association of America, the Radio-Television News Directors Association, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.

This is interesting the media wants Cheney's testimony yet Libby is the one who will go to jail. No ones thinking about the little soldier getting jail time only what Cheney has to say. If Cheney gives that same story of Libby being the smart harp Assistant well that's it for Libby. I look forward to the Defence Attorney's explaining how this so called memory loss victim wrote the speech for the Secret of State that was outlined and explained in detail of the WMDs in Iraq to the United Nations and leaders around the world. Explain it to me like I'm a 5 year old. Is this the representation of the White House, ill people giving information that allows the invasion of a country. What else did this sick man do while giving direction in his position as Assistant to the Vice President. Did the VP check to see if Libby was losing his memory before he told him to leak the CIA's name or is Cheney really as sick as Libby so it didn't matter. Is Bush really the President or is Cheney running the country. Let's get those answers under oath because we already know Libby is guilty of lying.
