House Democrats elect Pelosi to speaker
"I accept this gavel in the spirit of partnership, not partisanship, and look forward to working with you on behalf of the American people," Pelosi said. "In this House, we may belong to different parties, but we serve one country."
"This is an historic moment — for the Congress, and for the women of this country," Pelosi said. "It is a moment for which we have waited more than 200 years."

So much positive history making stories. We should hold on to this as in the next few weeks we will see the out come of what crimes Bush has been doing for 6 years. As Ford was put in to heal the US from Nixon scandal, now Pelosi is put in to clean up the crimes and corruption from the Bush scandals. Yes our troops are waiting to come home and stop being killed in the Iraq civil war. It as a great background Fitz gave for his posting for our new Speaker. Woman have always had power we're just starting to use it again. So much has been learned two day.
