Judge Walton Says No to Tapes in Libby trial

WASHINGTON A federal judge is refusing to release daily audio recordings of the upcoming trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby.
The Associated Press and several news organizations had asked that recordings be released for broadcast. U-S District Judge Reggie Walton says broadcasting court proceedings, commentary and analysis could prejudice jurors and lead to an unfair trial.

In a way I don't blame Walton. Look Libby is as guilty as hell and Walton doesn't want the defense to have any chance for an appeal to be overturned. I'm not worried the young people today are smarter then most adults think they are. All the information will be leaked to the blog by yes the young journalist on blog sites. Rawstory has more information then the media.

Well after the IL-ex-Gov Ryan problems with the jury, I can't blame them here.

Thanks for the answer on the IL-ex-Gov!

I agree. We can't blame Walton on this. As much as Libby and his dead horse case is a pain the butt, it would be a media frenzy and not a fair trial.
