Why is Hadley/Badly still employed as the National Security Advisor?

Worthless as the four dollar bill...

Hadley Ducks Question Over Whether Rumsfeld Suggestion Is ‘Cutting And Running’

Today on NBC’s Meet the Press, host Tim Russert pointed out that Donald Rumsfeld’s recent memo on Iraq suggested a strategy of partial withdrawal. Russert asked National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley why, when others had raised this idea in the past, “they were accused by your White House of cutting and running.”

Full transcript:

RUSSERT: One of the things that Donald Rumsfeld suggested was redeployment, taking U.S. troops out of Iraq, put them into Kuwait, surrounding areas. When the Democrats suggested that, they were accused by your White House of cutting and running.

HADLEY: I think that maybe you misunderstand what the memo was about. The President, as you know, before that day had called for a review of where we were heading in our approach forward in Iraq. It drew on work that had been started in a number of agencies in the government, and one of the things that the President said is. I want to look at new ideas. I want to have an open door to ideas and one thing that the Rumsfeld memo list represented was a laundry list of ideas that he considered, some he put above the line and some were below the line and it was to broaden the debate. It was a useful memo. This was not a game plan or an effort to set out the way forward in Iraq.

Hadley will be the next to resign to spend more time with his family. He was so unbelievably dumb he couldn't even lie right. Bush needs a better liar.

Colin Powell is now coming out and calling this Iraq situation a Civil War. Memo Schmemo! Why didn't he do something while he could.....(sigh) Rumsfield, only part of the problem.

You have to answer Powell the real truth when the Gerbil is gone from office. He probably tell you so ghost stories. Best believe, Powell was kept out the circle and talks were behind closed doors without him. But, his decision to not do anything before will be something that he has to live with...

Jackie, I agree.. Hadley/Badley needs to go..I the look the "I need to spend with family" syndrome in Badly.

The real question Does his family want to spend time with him?

I wonder if we will see a tell all book from Colin Powell when the Gerbil is gone? And Bolton? And Rumsfield? And who knows who else?

I don't think Hadley is married. According to bio, it doesn't mention a wife or children. So, he can't say that he needs to spend time a family. Man, it is hard to look at his pale face. He looks like death! LOL!
I have a feeling that there will alot of tell all books arising after the Gerbil is gone.. Man, the ghost stories that we all don't know from the WH.
