My Pet Goat library: coming to an area near you

W library in record book

$500M center would be priciest for a Prez

WASHINGTON - He may be a certified lame duck now, but President Bush and his truest believers are about to launch their final campaign - an eye-popping, half-billion-dollar drive for the Bush presidential library.
Eager to begin refurbishing his tattered legacy, the President hopes to raise $500 million to build his library and a think tank at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Bush lived in Dallas until he was elected governor of Texas in 1995.

Bush sources with direct knowledge of library plans told the Daily News that SMU and Bush fund-raisers hope to get half of the half billion from what they call "megadonations" of $10 million to $20 million a pop.
Bush loyalists have already identified wealthy heiresses, Arab nations and captains of industry as potential "mega" donors and are pressing for a formal site announcement - now expected early in the new year.

"You can't ask people in Dallas for $20 million until they can be sure the library won't be in Waco," one Bush source noted. More on the story.

What an example for kids talk about child left behind. Can Bush spell library or does he have to ask Laura. The President is a joke.

Will they have a dictonary complete with Gerbil pronouciations?
This would be a tourist destination I would avoid, too many "W" fans in one place.

LOL!

Thst would certainly complete the library full of Gerbil terms:

Gerbilgate
Gerbilspeak
Gerbil Administration
Gerbil 101
Gerbil News
King Gerbil
And so on..

And let's not forget the Bushism error in verbage...

They would have to keep it staffed with translators of Gerbilspeak. This would only add to the cost, which by the way, is way too much.

And yes I feel sorry for people who have the Gubinator. Does he need a translater? (uhum for the people in his state to understand what in the Heck comes out of his mouth?)

Jackie,

Do you think they will include the Twins escapades and Laura's car accident that's what they are calling it isn't it?!

*lol*

That will be cost big bucks to translate the chimpster's language.

Are you crazy? That would be a waste of tax payer's money. It is bad enough that the state wasted money on a recall. And to waste their money on him? And how long has Arnie been in the U.S. and still can't comphend?

The tell all book about the Bush family will scare the hell out of people. These that will make your skin crawl and knowing that Satan was sitting in the White House will question all the Christian followers. This family is a best seller in horror Steven King isn't that good.

I am already pretty scared now watching him in action.

But remember at his last inaugural he said "God wanted him to be President" that kind of stuff scares me when it comes out of his mouth, but remember he won all the states where confederate flags fly, that should tell you something.

I rewatched the interview with
M. Cherif Bassiouni

He was talking about this administration and said they appeal to the worst in us fear, prejudice, as oposed to hope, compassion and understanding. The problem with this administration is politics of fear, politics of anguish, politics that bring up negative and aggressiveness.

He went on to say that Bush does not have the intellectual grasp and human grasp to understand what is going on. Rice is pragmatic and opportunist doing what she thinks she can get away with as a member of the administration.

He also said the biggest mistake Runsfield made was ignoring all the 20,000 core criminals of the 80,000 that Sadam let out of prison 3 weeks before the fall of Bagdad. That Rumsfield would only concentrate on Al Queda which was not an issue in Iraq at the time, and not use any police action on these core criminals. These core criminals are causing more problems to citizens and everyone else.

But on another note:
I wake up to news radio and was listening to an interview with someone saying that this is like the stock market, if you buy a stock and the price goes down cut your losses and sell, and this is how this "Shrub War" should be handled at this point. Because the stocks are only going to go down and not up. That was a pretty good anology.

As for Cheney leaving, well it's a good strategy to get someone in and lined up for the next election. I am sure they will keep Cheney on in some aspect, after all he has been running things for 6 years.

As far as the Bush library, they may have to pass out barf bags when you enter, I for one will need one.

On the Gubinator.......how do people like this get in positions like this?

Or maybe little bottles of scotch to get through the day at his library.

Money, friends, corporations, and personal favors.
