A dictator vs a diplomat:Chavez bitchslaps Bush at UN conference

At U.N., Chavez calls Bush 'the devil'

UNITED NATIONS - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez took his verbal battle with the United States to the floor of the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, calling President Bush "the devil."

The devil came here yesterday," Chavez said, referring to Bush's address on Tuesday and making the sign of the cross. "He came here talking as if he were the owner of the world."

"We appeal to the people of the United States and the world to halt this threat, which is like a sword hanging over our head," he said.
He also said the U.N. "doesn't work" in its current system and is "antidemocratic." He called for reform, saying the U.S. government's "immoral veto" had allowed recent Israeli bombings of Lebanon to continue unabated for more than a month.
Chavez spoke on the second day of the annual ministerial meetings, which were overshadowed by an ambitious agenda of sideline talks.

More on the story

Chavez call a spade a spade with Bush. I hate to say it. Bush has created more enemies than friends internationally.

SPB you have some way with words Bitchslap to much. Ok I think Chavez and the President of Iran are making a point that others only talked about behind Bush's back. I notice that no one left the room as Chavez spoke about Devil aka Bush. Watch more world leaders to start speaking out and Iran President was right we were the world leader until Bush came along and it's all over. I know Bill doesn't like it but the American people set back and let it happen and did nothing.
