TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with Nicaragua's visiting Foreign Minister Samuel Santos Lopez on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial meeting here in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, the Iranian president called for the two countries' continued cooperation to reach progress, welfare and power, and stressed Tehran's resolve to further expand relations with Nicaragua.
He also stressed that the two revolutionary nations and states of Iran and Nicaragua would side with each other forever as they share common goals and ideals.
For his part, Samuel Santos Lopez conveyed the warm regards of Nicaraguan president, government and nation to Ahmadinejad, and reiterated increasing expansion of ties between the two states.
He also pointed out that following the recent visit to Nicaragua by the Iranian president, the two countries' joint cooperation commission has adopted the required measures to implement the agreements already held by the two sides.
Iran's growing ties with such Latin countries as Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil, in a region once considered as the backyard of the United States have made the Islamic Republic a major ally of the Latinos who view Washington as their main foe.
Ahmadinejad is one busy bee in the hands on foreign relations, could this adminstration learn a thing or two?
ReplyDeleteAfter reading and listening to President Ahmadinejad I found his well educated and open to discussion. No I don't agree with everything he says but he does have some good points and he's smart enough to talk not dicate.
ReplyDeleteBush is a proven idiot so Ahmadinejad has no problem dealing with him. The Iran President knew in 2000 when these idiots stole the election that in the end they would fail. Why, because like a test if you don't study you get everything wrong. Look at the United States from 2000 to today yes failed.
The last laugh will be on the Gerbil. The international leaders are going around the Getbil to make decision while the Iranian Prez is making friends and relationships with other countries. Stupid is as stupid does for the clown President.
